Why Kayan?

To bring feminism and feminist perspectives to Palestinian society in Israel and affect a change and catalyze women'sindependence and pro-action.

To change the way Palestinian women are viewed and treated in Arab society and in Israeli society, and at the same time, advocate for their equal rights and status.

To eliminate all forms of discrimination against Palestinian women, and work for achieving full and equal rights-legally, socially and economically.

Kayan - For Social Change

With expertise in gender issues, women's empowerment and social change, we establish dialogues and cooperative work with local Arab authorities, government agencies and community centers, to promote programs, raise awareness and enforce Palestinian women's civil and legal rights.
In addition, Kayan is active in numirous regional and national conferences, events and programs that broaden the base for social justice in Israel.
